INEND launched its flagship boda boda sensitisation training programme in 2016 targeting motorcycle taxi drivers in Mombasa City where harassment and violations against the SGM community were high, it was with this brave vision in mind. Since then, INEND has been working to improve the lives of sexual and gender minorities throughout the Coast Region. Our programming is innovative, courageous and inventive, and is carried out by a passionate, professional and dedicated team. Because we are a non-membership organisation, our programmes and services remain accessible to anyone.

Initiative for Equality and Non Discrimination (INEND) is a local nonprofit organization that researches strategies for equality and acceptance in the coast region of Kenya and shares experiences with other stakeholders in an effort to contribute towards tolerance, non-discrimination and acceptance of gender and sexual minorities.
